Social Media Channels (22% of visits)
August 2015 marked the first time Facebook drove more traffic to news websites than Google. It is no surprise how powerful Facebook is for connecting and engaging with consumers not only about news, but for brands as well. 22% of visits to REACH client websites come from social media sites such as: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, and many more. Facebook accounts for 95% of these visits.
Julie Lord, resident social media expert at REACH Maine Marketing suggests that whenever you post to Facebook, LinkedIn, even Twitter, try to find a way to incorporate a link to your website in the post. The shelf life of even popular social media posts is very short-lived so take advantage of that exposure and get as many consumers to your website as possible.
